Care of Maltese
→ Fur care
It is white or ivory in color, with a single layer coat that is velvety and silky and hangs straight down from a parting down the middle of its back.
Brushing: Maltese have a beautiful white coat that is long and smooth. Because this little dog lacks an undercoat, he sheds relatively little. Regular grooming is required to prevent tangled fur.

Tangled fur: You can use a filter comb to remove tangled fur.
NOTE: Do not use the Furminator on your Maltese
While some Maltese have long, flat, and silky coats, others have naturally downy fur. Given that Maltese only have one coat of fur, it is not recommended to use the Furminator on them.
